Privacy Policy

Last updated: [EFFECTIVE DATE]

This page explains what Claron Business Intelligence collects when you visit this site or use the contact form, why, and what happens to it afterward. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.

Who this policy covers

This site is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("Claron," "we," "us"), registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. This policy applies to this website and nothing else. It does not cover any other service or communication channel.

What we collect

We collect exactly one category of personal data: what you type into the contact form at the bottom of the homepage. That form asks for:

  • Your name
  • Your work email address
  • Your organization
  • Your role (optional)
  • A short answer to "What does your team rebuild every week?"

If you use the estimator in the hero first, the sentence it drafts for you lands in that same message box as ordinary text. We do not receive the hours or rate you set on its sliders as separate data; we only receive whatever text sits in the message field at the moment you submit the form. Moving the sliders and reading a result on their own send nothing anywhere. The calculation runs in your browser, and the number is gone if you leave the page without submitting the form.

The form also carries one hidden field that real visitors never see or fill in. It exists only to catch automated spam. If it is filled in, we discard the submission and store nothing from it.

We do not collect anything else on this site. There are no account signups, no newsletters, no surveys, and no other forms.

Why we collect it

We collect this data for one reason: you gave it to us by submitting the form, because you want to talk to us. We use it to read your message and reply to you. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not collect it through any channel other than that form.

Where it's stored

Submitted data is sent straight to our database, hosted by Supabase. Supabase lets a project choose a specific hosting region, and we have not been told which region this project uses. We are flagging that gap here rather than guessing, and this section will name the region once we know it.

Access to the database is locked down at the source. The website itself is only permitted to add a new row when the form is submitted; it has no ability to read, edit, or delete anything in that table, even if the website were compromised. Reading a submitted message happens through Supabase's own administrative dashboard, not through this website.

Who sees it

The only place your submission goes is our Supabase database. Supabase stores it on our behalf as our hosting provider. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else, and we do not sell it. Nobody outside Claron and Supabase sees what you submit.

To be precise about the one other company involved: Vercel hosts this site and provides the two measurement tools described under Cookies and tracking. They run on every page and are separate from the form. Neither receives what you type into it, and there is no way for us or for Vercel to connect a page view to a submission.

How long we keep it

[DATA RETENTION PERIOD]. We have not yet fixed a formal retention schedule, and we are not going to invent one here. Once it is set, this section will say plainly how long a submission stays in our database and when it gets deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us, at any time, to:

  • tell you what we hold about you
  • correct anything that is wrong
  • delete it entirely

Email hello@claron.ca and we will handle it directly. We do not have a self-service way to do this yet (there is no account to log into), so a plain email is the fastest way to reach us.

Cookies and tracking

We checked this directly rather than assuming it. Loading this site sets no cookies. It writes nothing to your browser's local storage or session storage. There is no advertising network, no social media pixel, and no cross-site tracker on any page here.

There are two measurement tools, both provided by Vercel, who also host this site. Vercel Web Analytics counts page views so we can see which pages people actually read. Vercel Speed Insights measures how quickly pages load and respond on your device, so we can find pages that are slow on real phones rather than only on our own machines.

Both are cookieless by design. Neither assigns you an identifier, neither can follow you to other websites, and neither can be used to work out who you are. Between them they record the page address, the referring site, page timing measurements, and coarse details such as country, browser, and whether you are on a phone or a desktop. Neither records your IP address, and none of it is joined to anything you submit through the contact form.

We are naming it here because an earlier version of this policy said there was no analytics on this site at all, and promised to update this section before that changed rather than after. This is that update.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. We do not have an account system or a mailing list to notify you through, so if this matters to you, check back here occasionally. A material change gets a plain explanation, not a quiet edit.
